A video that allegedly shows a "188-year-old man" rescued from a cave near Bengaluru has gone viral on social media. Shared on X by a handle 'Concerned Citizen', the footage has quickly gained popularity, garnering nearly 29 million views. The post with the video reads, "This Indian man has just been found in a cave. It is alleged that he is 188 years old. Crazy."
In the 24-second clip, two men are seen helping the old man walk. The hunchbacked and white-bearded old man also uses a stick for support.
Several reports suggest that the man in the video is 110 years old and is a Hindu saint from Madhya Pradesh.
X also issued a disclaimer in response to the post, stating that the age mentioned may not be accurate. "Misinformation! The elderly man is a Hindu saint named 'Siyaram Baba' who lives in Madhya Pradesh, India. As per reports he is around 110 years old," X's note read.
